Week Three Reflection

Image
Rate and explain your overall experience of the week 1-very difficult to 5-great week I had the most fabulous week yet! This week is a 5 for sure! I taught my EdTPA Lessons this week. I included fun activities at the end of the lessons. EdTPA is a lot for the students just like it is for us student teachers. For one of the fun activities, I allowed students to draw on rainbow scratch paper. The picture you see above is a picture/note that one of my kiddos drew for me. My Students struggle with the "Sw" blend in my name, so frequently my name is said and spelled uniquely! The picture/note was so precious and made me smile from ear to ear, so I wanted to share it with everyone!  Respond to these questions to end your week:  Observe: What pleasant surprises/accomplishments did I achieve this week?  I have 2 EC students. Usually, these students score in the red, sometimes the yellow, on reading horizons. I taught Reading Horizons this week. BOTH of my EC students score...

Rate and explain your overall experience of the week 1- very difficult to 5- great week. I rate this week as an overall 3. I feel like I have learned so much! I continued with specials, lunch, recess, and dismissal and picked up ELA Core Instruction and Integrated Studies. I believe my performance was strong this week, however I struggled in other ways. I was nervous to teach Reading Horizons because my CE is great. It took a little bit of time at first, but I am comfortable teaching it now! My CE told me to follow it but to make it my own.  Reflect: Wh...

Rate and explain your overall experience of the week 1- very difficult to 5- great week. I rate this week at the beginning a 3, but at the end a 4. At the beginning of the week, I began picking up things such as walking students back and forth to lunch, recess, specials, dismissal, etc. This was really hard at first and I found myself constantly worrying about if I was missing or lost a student. My CE is truly wonderful and kept encouraging and reassuring me that everything was okay, so by the end of the week, I felt great! I personally take time to adjust to things and this was a big adjustment as it was my first step of responsibility.  Respond to these questions to end your week:  Observe: What pleasant surprises/accomplishments did I achieve this week?  This week, I accomplished one of my biggest fears about student teaching. As silly as it sounds, I have been terrified to overstep the authority of my CE. My CE is a wonderful and kind lady, she has never made me feel ...
